BECU - Washington State University Crop Mural

BECU is a brand quite literally built on community. As the official credit union of Washington State University, they owed it to the Cougars to show appreciation for the school’s unique spirit. So when it came time to launch the new BECU WSU credit card, we went big - like 1.5 acres big. We hired legendary crop mural artist Stan Herd to carve a message directly into the Palouse, whose one-of-a-kind landscape is home to the WSU Cougs. We captured content along the way and turned the event into a digital and social campaign.

The crop mural was such a hit, it’s now an eagerly anticipated part of the annual WSU Homecoming Week festivities.
